Exercise Physiology

Our Allied Health Hub provides a comprehensive range of Exercise Physiology (EP) services tailored to support people of all ages and abilities. We offer individual and group sessions, home visits, gym based therapy, hydrotherapy, assisted stretching programs, and personalised advice and education specific to individual diagnoses, functional goals and neurological conditions.

Our Exercise Physiologists work collaboratively with participants, families and support teams to develop evidence based programs that improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, pain management and overall physical function, while promoting long term health and independence.

Our purpose built NeuroGym has been specifically designed to support people living with neurological conditions. Using evidence based neurorehabilitation principles and neuroplasticity focused interventions, our specialised environment helps maximise recovery, functional capacity and participation in everyday life through targeted, goal directed exercise programs.

Kate is the Director of Our Allied Health Hub and our Principal Clinical Exercise Physiologist. With 40 years of experience in the allied health sector, Kate is recognised for her expertise in delivering evidence based rehabilitation and person centred capacity building for individuals with complex and chronic health conditions.

Kate has extensive clinical experience supporting people with complex rehabilitation needs, multiple medical comorbidities, and rare and complex genetic conditions. Her areas of special interest include diabetes management, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), cardiovascular disease (CVD), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, and evidence based neuroplasticity programs.

Throughout her career, Kate has been committed to helping individuals maximise their functional capacity, independence and quality of life. She works collaboratively with participants, families, medical specialists and multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored rehabilitation programs that reflect each person's unique goals, strengths and support needs.

Kate is committed to delivering personalised interventions that support functional recovery, build capacity, improve quality of life, and empower individuals to achieve their health and wellbeing goals by providing compassionate, evidence based care tailored to each person's unique needs and aspirations. Service Overview

Exercise Physiology

Our Accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologists provide holistic individualised assessments, followed by the design, implementation and evaluation of targeted short and long term exercise interventions that are designed specifically to improve your overall health and wellbeing. Your Exercise Physiologist will work with you to improve your overall strength and mobility, along with chronic disease management and prevention, musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, education, support and guidance to reach your goals.

Hydrotherapy

Our Allied Health Hub offers regular group and individual Hydrotherapy sessions to improve mobility, health and wellbeing through the implementation of individualised low impact exercise. With a positive retention rate, our participants consistently enjoy the energetic and positive atmosphere, social support and their exercise programs.

Neuro Gym

Our Neuro Gym has been designed specifically based on the clinical principals of neural brain training, this body to brain training relies on neuro plasticity, the brains response to specific targeted exercise, clinically developed by our Exercise Physiologist for effective neural impact.

Check with your Allied Health team to see if extra sessions can be scheduled with our Allied Health Assistant. 

Occupational Therapy*

Our Occupational Therapy services are designed to help individuals maximise their independence, safety, and participation in everyday life. We begin with a comprehensive assessment of your functional capacity, current support needs, and personal goals to gain a thorough understanding of what is important to you. Working collaboratively with you, your Occupational Therapist will develop personalised strategies, practical solutions, and evidence based recommendations that build on your strengths and support you to achieve meaningful outcomes at home, in the community, and across all aspects of daily living.

We provide assessment, prescription, and support for a wide range of assistive technology and equipment, including adaptive and modified daily living aids, mobility equipment, powered wheelchairs and home modifications where appropriate. Our Occupational Therapists also assess your home and community environments to identify practical solutions that enhance safety, accessibility, mobility, and participation, enabling you to engage more confidently in the activities that are important to you.

Allied Health Assistance

Our Allied Health Support Team contributes to your overall care, goals, access. They support your Multidisciplinary team of Accredited Allied Health Professionals in the provision of care and interventions. They are trained by your Allied Health Professional to support specific interventions or education and provide cost effective training, sessions, additional program sessions for ongoing implementation.

We are passionate about access to health services for all, with funding options available and no gap fee we believe all people should have consistent and affordable access to health care and interventions.
